It involved 6,920 individuals insured by National Health Insurance and the Medical Care System for the Elderly, comparing their self-reported participation in cancer screenings and health checkups with municipal records. Results showed moderate to high sensitivity and specificity for cancer screenings (lung, colorectal, stomach, breast, cervical), but indicated that self-reported data for lung cancer screening and health checkups should be interpreted cautiously.
