- Summary of this article：This study investigated the effects of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) versus multiple daily injections (MDI) on diabetic retinopathy (DR) progression in type 1 diabetes. Using Danish health data from 2013-2022, 674 CSII users were compared to 2006 MDI users. After a median follow-up of 4.8 years, no significant difference in DR worsening was found between the two groups. However, the CSII group had a higher risk of requiring focal photocoagulation. The study offers insights into DR outcomes related to insulin treatment methods.
