- Summary of this article：This prospective cohort study of 15,927 Japanese women found no significant association between frequency of hot tub bathing and reduced breast cancer risk over 25 years. Hazard ratios did not indicate a protective effect for any bathing frequency or temperature. Further research is needed using objective measures of bathing habits.
- 論文の要約：本研究は15,927人の日本人女性を25年間追跡した前向きコホート研究であり、浴槽入浴頻度や湯温と乳がんリスクの低下との関連は認められなかった。浴槽入浴の頻度や温度にかかわらず、また、閉経前後のサブ解析においても乳がん発症率に有意な差は見られなかった。より客観的な入浴習慣の測定が今後の課題である。
